Yesterday I went to see the doctor at the ARI clinic and waited in line for a very long time. Waiting for medicine was more than 4 hours. Today I came to pick up medicine and called the nurse at ARI. From 13.30 they said to prepare medicine for us. Arrived at 14.00 where the counter told us to sit and wait. We waited until 14.30 and there was no sign of getting medicine. Another nurse came and asked what her name was and what she was doing. In short, you didn't take any action for us even though the doctor had prescribed medicine for you since yesterday. When we said that she called to apologize and said No one accepted the matter. We feel very bad. We are not well.

The only reason I like this hospital is my OB. Other than that, I wouldn’t come here. Years ago we came for my son has diarrhea. The doctor then said he has appendicitis and needs surgery which is very ridiculous! I disagreed and told us to have ultrasound. They found nothing (just wasted the insurance money). I told the doctor to just give my son IV. After 1 pack was finished, my son got better. Imagine if I’m one of those who just agree with doctors?! Today I came for my annual health checkup and It took them ages to find my record. I saw many patients who arrived after me and they started their check up ahead of me. If I didn’t say anything to the staff (by the way, there were 8 of them behind the counter), they wouldn’t try to rush. Any logical excuse?

I came here for an arthroscopic hip surgery to fix a torn labrum. Overall it was pretty good but there are of course positives and negatives. Negatives are communication and aftercare services. Communication from Dr. Winyou was mostly ok and I actually had direct communication with him. Coming from Phuket there was video consulatations as well which was handy at the start. The communication from the other staff left a lot to be desired at times although there was one very good staff member but I didn't get the name. An example is being told to wait at the wrong gate at the airport and sitting there for an hour with nobody answering msgs or apoligising afterwards. The aftercare such as rehab could have been better managed. There was none and questions about it were met with "not sure". I don't remember the food being that great and not a lot of western options either in the cafes downstairs. Oh and I really don't like the idea of signing a waiver before surgery. I wonder if that is legal. For positives. I felt in good hands with Dr. Winyou. He was recommended by Phuket who were ill equipped to do the surgery and has a reputation as being a teacher and lecturer to other doctors in Thailand. Recovery of about a month then a few months later full recovery and able to be active again. The hospital takes care of all insurance matters which saves you a lot of hassle. They also offer free transfers between the hospital and airport and a nearby hotel. I would choose this hospital again but I would be more clear upfront about aftercare/rehab that is needed and what the plan is for that.
